Job summary

Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools is seeking a Child Nutrition - Helper at Prior Lake High School to assist in the set up and serving of meals, and to help with cleaning and sanitation.

Under the direction of the Director and Manager, you will learn, train, and back up other kitchen areas as assigned, with potential to grow responsibilities in a fast-paced school environment. A high school diploma and eligibility to work in the U.S. are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 18 years of age.
• One year of experience in food service or school nutrition preferred.
• Continued employment requires maintaining licenses and certificates.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meal setup and serving, with strict sanitation.
• Maintain safety, food security, and cleanliness in the kitchen.
• Prepare meals per planned menus and recipes.
• Monitor inventory and minimize food waste.
• Record meals served and inventory in district systems.
• Support staff during lunch service and attend meetings.
