Whitsons Culinary Group is seeking a Food Service General Manager to lead our school nutrition program. You will guide a team to deliver nutritious meals, manage daily operations, and ensure adherence to USDA guidelines.

This role emphasizes strong leadership, financial oversight, and a commitment to student well-being. Your experience should include managing P&L, scheduling, and vendor relations, with a focus on health, safety, and quality in a school setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or acceptable alternate credential.
• State-recognized school nutrition director certificate or 1 year relevant experience.
• Associate’s degree plus 1 year relevant experience or high school diploma with 3 years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspire and lead the food service team to deliver nutritious meals to students and staff.
• Oversee daily operations: scheduling, inventory, compliance, and food safety.
• Partner with school staff to support student health, learning, and well-being.
• Ensure compliance with USDA school meal guidelines and food safety regulations.
• Manage budgets, staffing, vendor relationships, and performance goals.
• Foster a student-centered, inclusive kitchen culture.
