Job summary

SAU 16 is seeking an experienced Food Services Assistant Manager to support the Director of Food Services in implementing menus, ensuring nutritional adequacy, and meeting federal standards for the District's school meals program. This role emphasizes cost-conscious menu planning and adherence to HACCP guidelines.

The position requires collaboration with kitchen staff, adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines, and participation in ongoing professional development to improve product quality

Qualifications

• Experience in school food service is recommended.
• CERT SERVSAFE current or must have within 60 days of hire.
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing school menu plans based on nutritional adequacy, budget, and federal standards.
• Provide information for menu analysis upon request.
• Monitor compliance with food prep and service procedures, recipes, portion control, and HACCP.
