Job summary

Blooomington Public Schools is seeking a Food Service Manager at Jefferson High School. The role oversees daily food service operations, staff supervision, and compliance with school nutrition standards.

This position requires experience in food service management and supervisory responsibilities. The candidate should have a MN Department of Health manager's certificate or be able to obtain it within 30 days, plus SNA Level 4 certification within six months.

Qualifications

• 3 years experience in food service department.
• 2+ years supervisor experience.
• ServSafe class within last 3 years or 30 days of start date.
• Knowledge and experience in all areas of Food Service Management.
• Manager's certificate from MN Department of Health required (or within 30 days of start date).
• SNA Certification level 4 within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead food service operations and staff, including supervision of kitchen operations and scheduling.
• Maintain records, inventory, ordering, and daily accounting in compliance with USDA and ISD #271 guidelines.
• Ensure excellent customer service and positive interactions with students, staff, and the public.
• Follow MN Food Code and USDA guidelines for school nutrition; adhere to district policies.
• Operate and utilize district software for food service activities; support program improvements.
