Job summary

Muscle Shoals City Schools is seeking a Child Nutrition Program Assistant to support daily meal service while upholding strict food safety and sanitation standards. The role requires knowledge of safe food handling, POS operations, and physical stamina for standing, lifting, and long shifts.

New hires will attend district orientation and may be placed throughout the district based on Alabama Certification credentials. Background checks and state compliance are required prior to employment.

Qualifications

• Prior professional food service/quality preferred.
• Knowledge of safe food handling standard practices and safe chemical handling.
• Ability to lift, stretch, bend and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Support daily meal service under supervision and ensure safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist in stocking, cleaning and maintaining organized work areas in the kitchen or cafeteria.
