Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write and follow instructions.
• Ability to do simple mathematics.
• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk and reach overhead.
• Must be a safe food handler and follow sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties related to the preparation of school meals: setting up, cooking, cleaning, washing, mopping and inventory.
• Becomes skilled in equipment normally used in kitchen tasks and follows schedules.
• Attends work regularly and on time; maintains records as required.
• Maintains a positive, cooperative attitude and adheres to safety rules.
