Job summary

Pelham School District is seeking a Nutrition Services Assistant to prepare and serve healthy meals for students and staff. You will follow sanitation standards, assist with food preparation, and maintain records, while delivering excellent customer service to students, parents, and faculty.

The role requires teamwork, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Training and ongoing education are part of the position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficient math, reading and computer skills.
• Ability to calculate total cost of items on food tray; basic cash handling.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Experience to understand primary job functions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation under supervision and maintain sanitation and safety.
• Prepare, serve and clean food items and equipment as instructed.
• Verify food quality and maintain production records.
• Fill cleaning logs and temperature logs; use district email and food service system.
• Assist with ordering of food, supplies, and production records.
• Attend in-service trainings and maintain 8 hours of annual CE.
• Support HACCP plan implementation and daily nutrition service tasks.
