• Provide nutritionally adequate meals meeting federal meal patterns.
• Coordinate Mt. Airy City Schools Catering Services, including receiving orders, preparing food, transporting food, setting up and displaying food, and serving food.
• Ensure that the school food service operation and its employees comply with state sanitation regulations and local policies.
• Establish and maintain good internal fiscal control.
• Evaluate the operation and correct deficiencies.
• Train employees in quantity, food production, and other duties.
• Communicate positively with school staff, students, parents, and visitors, and with School Nutrition employees.
• Oversee purchasing, storage, and inventory of food and supplies.
