Job summary

27J Schools in the Denver metro area is seeking a part-time school cafeteria worker to assist in meal preparation and sanitation. Schedule is 2-6 hours per day, Tuesday through Friday, with a 162-day/9-month work year. Position is not eligible for benefits and pays starting at $18.58 per hour.

Applicants must pass a Colorado and FBI background check and have two years of relevant schooling or on-the-job training. No prior experience required.

Qualifications

• Two years of high school, vocational school, or equivalent on-the-job training.
• Basic math, interpersonal, and communications skills.
• Ability to deal with children and children with special needs.
• Must be able to pass a post offer, pre-employment physical.
• Must be able to pass a Colorado and Federal Bureau of Investigation background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing meals following instructions on standardized recipes, including operating institutional equipment.
• Portion food correctly to meet guidelines.
• Wash trays, utensils, dishes, pans, etc.
• Mop, sweep, and clean kitchen work area and equipment as required.
