Job summary

Colorado Early Colleges is seeking a part-time food service assistant to prepare, serve, and clean for USDA and Child Nutrition Programs for students, following state, federal, and district policies. You will transport food from our central kitchen to other local schools and may operate the POS system.

You will adhere to HACCP guidelines and daily rotation procedures, working with the kitchen team to maintain food safety, sanitation, and service quality, while supporting staff and students

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or equivalent, including GED or work experience.
• Some food or school food service experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Scratch cooking experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Transport freshly prepared food to other locations.
• Follow transportation guidelines and policies.
• Serve meals according to menus and recipes with proper portions.
• Adhere to HACCP and sanitation guidelines.
• Work as a team with kitchen staff and maintain a positive attitude toward students and staff.
• Ensure proper food storage according to standards.
• Assist in receiving and storing groceries and equipment.
• Follow daily production assignments and rotations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Assist the kitchen manager with directing work as requested.
