Job summary

Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools is seeking a Child Nutrition Helper to assist in set up and serving meals, maintain sanitation, and support the kitchen team. You will learn and back up other areas as assigned by the Child Nutrition Manager.

Under supervision, you will help ensure safe food handling, accurate records, and timely service during meal periods, with opportunities to gain certification and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• One year of experience in food service or school nutrition programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in set up and serving of meals.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation.
• Monitor safe operation of kitchen equipment and lifting techniques.
• Maintain accurate records of meals served and inventory where applicable.
• Collaborate with staff and management to ensure timely meal service.
