Starting ASAP, compensation ranges from $17.66 to $19.11 per hour, with non-exempt status and probationary training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 18 years of age.
• One year of experience in food service or school nutrition preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fosters a collaborative team environment to meet production and service demands.
• Promotes positive interactions with students, teachers, staff, parents, and community members.
• Instructs and monitors kitchen personnel in safe lifting techniques and sanitation of equipment.
• Maintains high standards of safety, food security, and cleanliness in the kitchen and cafeteria.
• Prepares meals according to planned menus, tested recipes, and dietary guidelines.
• Implements inventory controls to minimize waste and maintain stock levels.
• Ensures served food meets quality standards of flavor, temperature, and appearance.
• Facilitates efficient and timely meal service during lunch periods.
• Rotates through kitchen positions to improve operations and suggest improvements.
• Maintains records for food served, ordered, and inventoried per district/state requirements.
• Notifies manager of quality, safety, or accident concerns promptly.
