Job summary

Family Service of RI (FSRI) is seeking a School Nurse to join a multidisciplinary team, delivering healthcare services to students and staff, promoting wellness, and maintaining a safe school environment.

You will develop individualized care plans, respond to emergencies, administer medications, and monitor chronic conditions while ensuring HIPAA compliance and collaborating with families, teachers and healthcare partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) and RI RN licensure.
• Experience in a residential healthcare setting preferred.
• Spanish speaking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and emergency care for students and staff.
• Assess and manage student health concerns and illnesses.
• Administer medications and monitor chronic conditions.
• Maintain confidential health records.
• Develop individualized care plans and emergency action plans.
• Educate students and staff on health, disease prevention.
• Collaborate with families, teachers and healthcare providers.
