Job summary
Family Service Of Rhode Island Inc seeks a school-based nurse to deliver healthcare services to students and staff. You will manage health needs, respond to emergencies, and promote wellness across the school community, while developing individualized care plans for youth.
You will provide clinical treatment, manage medications, and ensure PHI-compliant practices. Spanish/ASL skills are advantageous and may be compensated; strong teamwork and communication are essential.
Qualifications
- RI RN license required.
- Experience in residential healthcare settings.
- Experience with children, adolescents and adults from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficient in medical records software and related tools.
- Spanish speaking preferred and compensated.
- Excellent multitasking and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bilingual/ASL skills compensated (6%); multilingual skills compensated (8%).
Responsibilities
- Provide healthcare services to students and staff.
- Promote overall wellness and safe school environment.
- Manage student health needs and emergencies.
- Develop and manage individualized care plans.
- Provide clinical treatment and referrals as needed.
- Ensure PHI-compliant care and medication handling.
- Deliver health education and public health content.
