Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN license is required.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents while maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assess students’ daily visits, evaluate health status and provide care per district standing orders.
• Administer first-aid and emergency care as needed.
• Ensure confidentiality and protect privacy of health information.
• Dispense medications with proper documentation and prescriber/parent authorization.
• Collaborate with teachers and parents regarding students excluded for medical reasons.
• Communicate health needs to school personnel and document in the electronic health system.
• Promote universal precautions to maintain a healthy, safe learning environment.
