Job summary

League School for Autism in Walpole, MA is seeking a School Nurse (RN) for our residential program, Monday through Friday, 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and a Massachusetts RN license, with MA DESE School Nurse license a plus.

The nurse will oversee student health, coordinate staff activities, and manage medications and documentation. A valid MA driver’s license and two years of nursing experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Valid MA RN license; DESE School Nurse license a plus.
• 2 years nursing experience including supervision and staff training.
• CPR, First Aid, and Safety Care certifications.

Responsibilities

• Implements and manages a comprehensive school/residential health program.
• Prepares medications for administration staff.
• Provides training for supervisory/teaching staff in medication administration.
• Coordinates state mandated programs (annual physicals, immunizations, etc.).
• Maintains health records and notifies parents of health needs.
• Provides medical emergency coverage 7 days per week and 24 hours per day.
