League School for Autism in Walpole, MA is hiring a year-round School Nurse to oversee a comprehensive health program for students in a residential/school setting. Starting annual salary range is $89,250–$94,350.
The role requires an RN with MA licensure and experience in pediatric/school health, plus certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Safety Care. The position includes staff training and health record management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.
- Massachusetts RN license; MA DESE School Nurse license a plus.
- LPN considered at negotiated rate with MA certification and autism experience.
- Minimum of two years of nursing experience including supervision and staff training.
- CPR, First Aid, and Safety Care certifications required.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Orientation in school health services through MA DPH must be completed.
Responsibilities
- Implements and manages a comprehensive school/residential health program in line with MA guidelines.
- Prepares medications for administration staff.
- Provides training for supervisory/teaching staff in medication administration.
- Coordinates state-mandated programs (annual physicals, immunizations, scoliosis, vision, hearing).
- Monitors health and safety across all locations of the school/residential program.
- Provides initial orientation and ongoing in-service training on health and safety.
