The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Soldotna, AK for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full-time Building Nurse role supporting a local K-12 district with nursing services.

Working with The Stepping Stones Group means consistent pay, clinical backing from experienced nurses, and support from a team that understands school-based nursing – not just staffing. COMPENSATION: $42-$46/hr, W-2 contract, Soldotna, AK.

Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Alaska.
• Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN program.
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification.
• Knowledge of nurse delegation practices and state scope-of-practice regulations.
• Experience working with a pediatric population.
• Medication administration experience.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and exercise clinical judgment.

Responsibilities

• Student care with individualized care for a student.
• Perform screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis, BMI, blood pressure).
• Dispense medications per physician orders and policy.
• Respond to medical emergencies (falls, allergic reactions, fainting, injuries).
• Communicate with parents/guardians about health concerns.
• Develop IHCPs for chronic conditions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Student Care individualized care for a student
