Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a qualified School Registered Nurse (RN) for the West Orange, NJ area to join a supportive district for the upcoming school year. This full-time contract role focuses on student health and safety in a classroom setting.

You will provide direct nursing care, administer medications, develop IHPs and EAPs, document health records, collaborate with teachers and families, and participate in IEP/504 planning to support students’ health and academic success.

Competenze

• Active New Jersey RN license required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Experience in school nursing, pediatrics, clinic, or community health preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; able to work independently.

Mansioni

Are you a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) looking for a rewarding opportunity outside of the traditional healthcare setting? We are seeking a dedicated School RN to join a supportive school community in the West Orange, New Jersey area for the upcoming school year.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care, first aid, and emergency medical response to students and staff.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and district policies.
• Monitor students with chronic and acute medical conditions and respond appropriately to changes in health status.
• Develop and maintain Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs), Emergency Action Plans (EAPs), and student health records.
• Conduct health screenings and assessments while maintaining accurate and confidential documentation.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and healthcare providers to support student health and academic success.
• Participate in IEP, 504, and multidisciplinary team meetings when appropriate.
• Promote health education, wellness, and disease prevention throughout the school community.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Previous school nursing, pediatric, clinic, community health, or related nursing experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with students, families, and school staff.
