Job summary

The Center for Early Education in West Hollywood is seeking a Network Administrator to design, implement, and manage the school’s wired and wireless network infrastructure, including voice/data systems. You will ensure security, perform routine audits, manage AD/DNS/DHCP, backups, and adhere to FERPA/CIPA requirements.

This is a hands-on, on-site role requiring collaboration with teachers, staff, and IT colleagues to keep systems reliable and compliant while supporting daily school operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of network administration experience in education or a similar environment.
• Experience managing mid-scale networks with diverse users (students, faculty, staff).
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or CISSP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain wired and wireless network infrastructure.
• Manage and install network servers (AD, DHCP, DNS, backup, spam filter, storage, voice/phone).
• Safeguard networks with updates and security controls (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
• Ensure FERPA/CIPA compliance and data privacy standards.
• Provide Tier 2 network support and troubleshoot outages promptly.
• Maintain documentation of network architecture and procedures.
• Oversee installation and repair of telephone systems and data terminals.
• Stay current with technology and recommend enhancements.
