Job summary

The Center for Early Education in California is seeking an experienced Network Administrator to manage our school’s wired and wireless infrastructure and ensure secure data handling. This role requires on-site presence to support daily operations and collaborate with staff.

You will oversee servers, security, and documentation while maintaining compliance with FERPA and other privacy standards, ensuring reliable network services for students and faculty.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in network administration, preferably in education.
• Relevant certifications (CCNA/CCNP/CompTIA Network+ or CISSP) are preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration with teachers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain the school's wired and wireless network infrastructure.
• Manage and install all network servers, including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, backup, spam filter, storage, and voice/PRI.
• Safeguard the network with OS, software, and virus definition updates and patch management.
• Implement and manage security measures such as firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS.
• Ensure FERPA/CIPA compliance and data privacy with legal/compliance teams.
• Provide Tier 2 support for network issues and collaborate with helpdesk staff.
