Job summary

Vertex Education is seeking a skilled Network Administrator to design, deploy, and maintain wired and wireless networks across multiple school sites. You will optimize Wi‑Fi and manage VLANs, firewalls, and content filtering while ensuring security and FERPA/CIPA compliance.

You will monitor network health, troubleshoot incidents, and collaborate with IT and school leadership to align networks with academic goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of network administration experience.
• Experience with enterprise Wi‑Fi and VLANs.
• Familiarity with CIPA/FERPA and school cybersecurity basics.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain wired and wireless networks across school sites.
• Manage enterprise Wi‑Fi solutions and network devices.
• Implement and monitor security controls and content filtering.
• Monitor network health and troubleshoot outages with helpdesk collaboration.
• Document configurations and recovery procedures and train staff.
