Real Journey Academies in California is seeking a Food Service Support to coordinate all aspects of school meal services, ensuring timely distribution, allergy compliance, and orderly kitchen operations.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, a food handler’s certificate, and proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software. The candidate should be flexible, a team player, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a dynamic school environment.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish required or preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to organize, manage, coordinate, implement, oversee and evaluate site-wide food service programs.
• Flexibility, positive attitude, detail-oriented, team player, patient and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of meal service, including distribution to all students and maintaining serving times.
• Ensure compliance with student allergies and dietary restrictions.
• Monitor ordering procedures including emergencies, add-ons and cancellations.
• Coordinate and implement operations and program changes; support summer meal program.
• Organize kitchen areas for preparation, packaging, delivery, pickup and receiving.
