Job summary

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to graduation from an accredited high school or GED.
• Candidate must possess a valid Virginia driver’s license with the ability to obtain a commercial driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery, plumbing, electrical wiring and fixtures.
• Repairs or replaces electrical wiring and fixtures.
• Constructs and repairs partitions and wooden structures.
• Paints walls, floors, woodwork and fixtures.
• Operates welding equipment to join metal parts.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area.
• Follows local, state, and OSHA regulations.
• Attends in-service training to develop knowledge and skills.
