Job summary

NOTRE DAME DE SION SCHOOL in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Facilities & Operations team. The role involves inspecting, maintaining, and repairing building systems to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment for students and staff.

You will perform routine and emergency maintenance across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds tasks, coordinate with vendors, and utilize MS Teams and Gmail for requests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• One year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
• Basic understanding of building operations and maintenance.
• Active and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to speak, read, write and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair tasks across facilities.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems and report hazards.
• Set up furnishings and equipment for meetings and events.
• Repair roofs, furniture, lighting and other building components.
• Respond to emergencies and perform repairs during business hours.
• Communicate maintenance requests via MS Teams and Gmail.
• Maintain parts inventory and request supplies as needed.
• Use hand tools and small power tools for repairs.
• Paint and stain surfaces as required and perform custodial tasks.
• Perform light landscaping and seasonal maintenance (snow/ice removal).
