Job summary

Christ the King Catholic School on the northside of Indianapolis is looking to hire a daytime school maintenance employee. The school maintenance employee is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and functional learning environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior maintenance, custodial, or facilities experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

• Basic knowledge of building systems and repair techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.
• Conduct routine inspections of buildings, classrooms, restrooms, and common areas.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations.
• Set up and break down rooms for events, meetings, and school activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and school policies.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance logs.
• Coordinate with administrators, teachers, and outside vendors as needed.
• Support cleaning and custodial duties when required.
