Qualifications

• HVAC, painting, plumbing, electrical work and CDL license preferred.
• Maintain clean, safe facilities and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Must be able to lift fifty pounds and operate basic building equipment.

Responsibilities

• Cleans classroom floors daily and dusts furniture.
• Cleans corridors after school each day; during the day when needed.
• Scrubs and disinfects toilet floors daily; cleans fixtures and drinking fountains daily.
• Keeps all floors clean and attractive; maintains good condition.
• Cleans classroom writing surfaces at least once a week.
• Makes minor building repairs.
• Reports major repairs to the principal and Building & Grounds Director.
• Reports damage to school property immediately.
• Opens and closes the building daily; ensures doors/windows are secured; turns off lights not required for safety.
• Moves furniture or equipment within buildings as directed by the principal.
• Follows local laws for storage and disposal of trash; adheres to safety procedures.
• Able to lift 50 pounds, move equipment, unload supplies and climb ladders.

Job description

Job Goal:
1. To provide students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean and efficient place in which to learn and develop.

Performance Responsibilities:

1. Cleans classroom floors daily and dusts furniture.
2. Cleans corridors after school each day, and during the day when their condition requires it.
3. Scrubs and disinfects toilet floors daily, and cleans all sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains daily.
4. Keeps all floors inclean and attractive condition and in a good state of preservation.
5. Cleans all classroom writing surfaces at least once a week.
6. Makes minor building repairs.
7. Reports major repairs needed promptly to the principal and Building & Grounds Director.
8. Reports immediately to the principal any damage to school property.
9. Assumes responsibility for the opening and closing of the building each school day and for determining, before leaving that all doors and windows are secured, and all lights, except those left on for safety reasons, are turned off.
10.Moves furniture or equipment within buildings as required for various activities and ad directed by the principal.
11.Complies with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash, rubbish and waste.
12.Able to physically lift in excess of fiftypounds, move equipment, unload supplies and climb ladders.
