Job summary

Avon Community School Corporation in Avon, Indiana is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our on-site facilities team. • Ability to perform Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair on building, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Strong Troubleshooting skills for identifying, diagnosing, and resolving facility and equipment issues.
• Experience with Preventive Maintenance practices to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Background in Industrial Maintenance or similar environments, preferably in schools or public facilities.
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry is preferred.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely, and to read manuals, diagrams, and work orders.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training is a plus.
• Capacity to lift moderate weights, stand or walk for extended periods, and work in various indoor and outdoor conditions.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to undergo any required background checks in accordance with school district policies.
