Job summary

Swartz Creek Community Schools is seeking a part-time Food Service Aide at Elms Elementary for the 11:00 am to 1:00 pm lunch period. The role supports student meals, operates the cash register, counts cash, and prepares deposits as needed.

You will stock and maintain the serving area, assist with lunchroom behavior expectations, clean equipment and tables, and provide reliable, punctual attendance. Other duties as assigned by the Food Service leadership.

Qualifications

• Serve students meals and record meal transactions.
• Operate cash register and ensure cash counts align.
• Stock and maintain serving area.
• Support lunchroom behavior and expectations while students are in line.
• Clean food service equipment and wipe tables as needed.
• Punctual, regular attendance is required.
• Follow directives from kitchen leadership.
• All other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals during the lunch period.
• Accurately handle transactions and balance cash at shift end.
• Maintain clean and organized serving area throughout service.
• Support student dining experience and safety in the lunch line.
