Job summary

Up Valley Nutrition Services is seeking a Cafeteria Manager to oversee daily lunch program operations, supervise cooks, and ensure compliance with the National School Lunch Program and sanitation standards. Qualifications

• ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of quantity food production experience with 6 months supervisory experience.
• Effective communication, time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise school lunch program and train food service staff at assigned school.
• Assist in recruiting, disciplining and evaluating food service staff.
• Plan daily production schedule to meet meal counts with quality and minimal waste.
• Prepare food for lunch program following Colorado Department of Education requirements and cost goals.
• Delegate tasks to ensure timely service and friendly interaction with students and staff.
• Standardize recipes to match servings and NSLP directives.
• Maintain proper portions and food safety standards.
• Manage cashiering, student status records and accurate reports.
