Job summary

Responsibilities include installing and testing Cat5e/Cat6, fiber, and coaxial cabling, coordinating with IT staff and vendors, and maintaining accurate documentation on installations and service requests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• New Mexico ES-3J certification required.
• Ability to work with many coworkers, students, and staff.
• Valid New Mexico driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot low voltage cabling (data, voice, video, security).
• Manage work orders and minimize disruption to classroom instruction.
• Test and inspect cabling infrastructure for integrity and performance.
• Coordinate installation of network equipment and surveillance systems.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for low voltage systems.
• Maintain records of installations, service requests, and inspections.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and safety regulations.
