Job summary

MetroPower, Inc. is seeking a Technician 1, Low Voltage to install, terminate, test, and maintain voice, data, and fiber optic cabling for commercial projects.

You will read blueprints, ensure safety and code compliance, and support on-time installations while delivering excellent customer service. The role requires working in diverse environments, collaborating with field teams, and maintaining high-quality structured cabling solutions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
• 5 years experience in structured cabling is strongly preferred.
• BICSI Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, plan, and prepare tasks to maintain project efficiency and safety.
• Run and terminate cabling, test fiber and copper systems, and install data jacks and racks.
• Read blueprints and ensure compliance with safety standards and codes.
• Troubleshoot issues and support timely, high-quality installations.
• Maintain documentation and communicate with field teams and customers.
