Responsibilities

• Maintain all materials, books, equipment, and supplies in the media center.
• Schedule use of library facilities during the school day.
• Solicit suggestions for materials and prepare orders.
• Submit requisitions to the Building Principal.
• Process and circulate materials for teachers and students.
• Maintain inventory and budget records for the media center.
• Assist with instruction and story hours to promote reading.
• Acquaint students and staff with available media resources.
• Schedule and store audio-visual equipment and arrange repairs as needed.
• Manage discipline in the library and protect confidential information.
