Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• Degree in Library Science, Education, English, Reading, or a related field preferred.
• School library/media certification or valid teaching certificate preferred.
• Previous experience in a school library or educational setting preferred.
• Experience with children's and young adult literature preferred.
• Experience with library management systems and educational technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Foster a love of reading by creating an inviting library environment.
• Lead developmentally appropriate story times and reading activities for young students.
• Assist students in selecting books and resources.
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate literature and media literacy into lessons.
• Manage day-to-day library operations and cataloging tasks.
• Coordinate school book fairs and maintain digital resources.
• Stay current with literacy trends and educational technology.
