Job summary

Archdiocese of San Antonio seeks a Library & Technology Manager to maintain a professional library within a faith-based school, fostering reading, learning, and responsible use of library resources.

The role partners with teachers to deliver the information skills curriculum, promote literacy, and oversee library technology and resources, aligning with the school’s instructional program.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or higher required.
• Associate degree or 60 college hours preferred.
• Bachelor's degree and ABLE course completion (23.5 hours) required for Secondary Schools.
• Knowledge of library procedures, children's/young adult literature, and basic reference skills.
• Knowledge of education technology and staying current with trends.

Responsibilities

• Supports and upholds the philosophy and mission of Catholic education.
• Promotes the role of the library in the school and collaborates with teachers.
• Plans and delivers the information skills curriculum.
• Manages library resources, cataloging, and budget with the budget holder.
• Supervises staff and pupil librarians and provides training.
• Develops and implements technology plans to integrate digital tools in the classroom.
• Keeps principal, staff, and parents informed about library needs and developments.
