Job summary

Brock & Company is seeking a dependable Foodservice Receiver for a busy private school kitchen. You will verify invoices, unload deliveries, log inventory, and support light food prep for grab-and-go items and service periods.

The role rewards accuracy, organization, and teamwork in a hands-on environment with full-time benefits, meals provided, uniforms, and a supportive culinary team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to frequently lift 50 pounds.
• Comprehend written invoices, simple arithmetic and verify numbers.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Receives and unloads incoming materials and compares information on packing slip.
• Sorts, counts packages, inspects labels, unpacks, and/or logs inventory which is received.
• Places all items in the proper location, rotating stock as necessary.
• Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.
• Delivers items to requisitioning departments and obtains authorized signatures for accepted items.
• Traces lost shipments and claims of lost shipments; initiates proof of delivery documents.
• Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
