Job summary

Maschio's Food Service Inc. seeks a School Food Service Kitchen Manager in the Hamilton, NJ area to run daily kitchen operations for a school program. Monday–Friday day shift, no weekends or holidays, summers off. This union position supports menu adherence to NSLP guidelines and staff supervision.

The ideal candidate will have kitchen management experience; school food service experience is a plus, and ServSafe certification is preferred. Must obtain the required school work documentation.

Qualifications

• Kitchen Management experience is required.
• School Food Service experience is a plus.
• ServSafe certification is preferred.
• Must be able to obtain the proper documentation to work in schools.
• This is a Union Position for the 2026/2027 school year.

Responsibilities

• Over see kitchen operation on a daily basis.
• Be sure all menu items are based on the guidelines of the NSLP
• Serving, food preparation.
• Observe that the quality, and food safety procedures are being followed at all times
• Observe that personal protection equipment (PPE) is in use at all times.
• Prepare inventories, and month end paperwork.
• Over see Kitchen staff, and staffing needs.
