Job summary

Maschio's Food Service Inc. is seeking a Kitchen Manager for our School Food Service operation in the Bernardsville, NJ area. The role is Monday through Friday, day shift, 7.5 hours per day, with no weekends or holidays.

K-12 experience is a plus. The ideal candidate will lead kitchen operations, ensure NSLP guidelines, monitor food safety and PPE usage, maintain cleanliness, and coordinate staffing in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• K-12 experience is a plus.
• Must be able to obtain proper documentation to work in schools.
• Comfortable working in a fast paced, team setting.

Responsibilities

• Over seeing kitchen operations.
• Following recipes according to the guidelines of the NSLP.
• Food preparation, cooking.
• Observe that the quality, and food safety procedures are being followed at all times.
• Enforce that the use of personal protective equipment is in use at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness.
• Oversee kitchen staff, and staffing needs.
