Job summary

Lunchtime Solutions is seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead daily on-site kitchen operations at Spearfish School District. This role involves overseeing food production, safety, inventory, and a collaborative kitchen team to deliver quality meals for students and staff.

Ideal candidates have supervisory food-service experience, ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain it, and a commitment to clean, efficient kitchen practices. Monday–Friday daytime schedule supports work-life balance.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ year of food service supervisory experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification or willingness to complete.
• Valid Driver's license and insurable driving record.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain food-safety standards.
• Comfort using computer systems like Microsoft Office, POS systems, and food-service software.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily kitchen operations including food production, inventory, ordering, safety, and team coordination.
• Ensure meals are prepared on time, meet quality standards, and follow food-safety and nutritional guidelines.
• Oversee storage organization, FIFO, HACCP logs, production records, inventories, and participation trends.
• Provide daily leadership as the kitchen point of contact, troubleshoot issues, reinforce policies, and support team communication.
• Manage inventory and ordering, place orders, adjust menus, and maintain prep lists and freezer pulls.
• Train and coach staff; fill in across district kitchens when required.
