Job summary

Lunchtime Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead daily kitchen operations for a school meal program.

The role involves supervising staff, ensuring timely food production, managing inventory, and upholding HACCP and safety standards to deliver quality meals for students and staff. The ideal candidate will have supervisory food service experience, ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain it, and a strong commitment to customer service.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ year of food service supervisory experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification or willingness to complete.
• Valid Driver's license and insurable driving record.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow procedures while maintaining food-safety standards.
• Comfort using computer systems like Microsoft Office, POS systems, and food-service software.
• Ability to follow recipes, measure ingredients, and convert quantities for large batches.
• Dependability, integrity, and a commitment to excellent customer service.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent standing, bending, twisting and other physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily food production by preparing meals, following recipes and supporting special diets.
• Keep the kitchen organized and compliant with storage, HACCP logs, and inventories.
• Champion food safety by monitoring safe practices and completing safety checklists.
• Provide daily leadership as the point of contact in the kitchen and help troubleshoot issues.
• Manage inventory and ordering, adjust menus, and maintain prep lists.
• Train staff, coach, and fill in across district kitchens when required.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, school staff and customers.
