Job summary

Quest Food Management Services is hiring a part-time food service worker to support daily school lunch production in a Woodridge SD 68 school. The role runs Monday through Friday from 8am to 1pm, August start, with no nights, weekends, or holidays.

Duties include prepping ingredients, assembling meals, serving students, and maintaining a safe, clean kitchen environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, energetic, and able to work well in a team to meet daily production goals.

Qualifications

• Previous food service, restaurant, cafeteria experience preferred but not required
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Reliable attendance and punctuality required
• Serve Safe Certified or the ability to obtain certification upon hire
• Must pass federal background check
• Ability to read, speak, and comprehend English

Responsibilities

• Prepare fruits, vegetables, and other menu items according to standardized recipes and meal schedules
• Wash, cut, portion, cook, and package food products for distribution
• Assist with meal assembly and service to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met
• Label, date, and store food products following food safety guidelines
• Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, steam tables, and knives
• Maintain clean and organized workstations throughout the shift
• Follow HAACP procedures and document food temperatures as required
• Assist with receiving deliveries and stocking inventory using FIFO procedures
• Support cooks with food preparation and other duties as assigned
• Work efficiently to meet production deadlines
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal food safety and sanitation guidelines
