Quest Food Management Services in Illinois is seeking a reliable food service worker to support daily food production in a school kitchen serving students. You will prepare ingredients, assemble meals, serve students, and help maintain a clean, safe work environment.

This part-time role follows the Woodridge SD 68 calendar, with shifts Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, starting in August. No nights, weekends, or holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
• Serve Safe certified or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
• Must pass federal background check.
• Must read, speak, and comprehend English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fruits, vegetables, and other menu items according to recipes and meal schedules.
• Wash, cut, portion, cook, and package food products for distribution.
• Assist with meal assembly and service to ensure quality standards.
• Label, date, and store food products following safety guidelines.
• Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, steam tables, and knives.
• Maintain clean and organized workstations.
• Follow HACCP procedures and document temperatures.
• Assist with deliveries and stock inventory using FIFO.
