Rowan-Salisbury School System is seeking a Kitchen Equipment & Refrigeration Technician for a 12-month, 8-hour day position in Salisbury, North Carolina. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing cafeteria equipment, maintaining refrigeration systems, ovens, steamers, and serving lines to support the School Nutrition program.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, vocational training in related fields, and at least 5 years of experience; a valid NC driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Vocational training in food service equipment maintenance and repair, electrical, plumbing or refrigeration preferred.
• 5+ years of related field experience or equivalent training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnosis and repair of cafeteria equipment to keep kitchen areas in good operating order.
• Maintains and repairs refrigeration units, ovens, steamers, warmers, serving lines and related equipment.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations and SN policies.
• Demonstrates professional excellence and strong teamwork within the school nutrition department.
