Job summary

Sunnyside School District 201 in Sunnyside, WA seeks a Cook for the Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Program (SUN) – 1 year only. Under Nutrition Services, you will assist in preparing nutritious meals for students and maintain sanitary kitchen conditions.

The role requires a High School diploma or G.E.D., a WA Food Service permit, and willingness to work 2 days per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays). Experience in school food service is preferred and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• WA State Food & Beverage Service Workers Permit required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in school food service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cooking, preparing, and serving nutritious meals for students.
• Maintain sanitary kitchen and service areas.
• Ensure food supply is replenished during meal serves.
• Store and dispose of unused food properly.
• Assist in menu item orders and inventory.
