Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent with related work experience.
• Minimum two years in professional culinary arts with leadership in food production.
• Must hold a current and valid food handler’s permit.
• Must have a valid Washington State driver’s license.
• Carry strong grammar, spelling and math skills for culinary tasks.
• Membership in American Culinary Federation preferred.
• ServeSafe certification preferred.
• Cash handling experience at point of sale preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve daily menu items following district health requirements.
• Ensure quality, safety and appealing presentation of foods.
• Assist kitchen leadership with prep lists and supplies.
• Maintain clean, sanitary kitchen and work area.
• Maintain production records and proper temperature logs.
• Follow HACCP procedures for handling raw foods.
• Train substitutes and mentor junior kitchen staff.
• Collaborate with team to set up serving lines for students and staff.
