Job summary

Douglas County School District is seeking a Kitchen Assistant at Aspen View Academy Charter School to support daily lunch service in a school setting. You will assist in food preparation, serve meals, and help ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and accurate cash handling with the school POS system. Training may be provided, and opportunities to lead other kitchen staff are available.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or Equivalent
• May lead training for other kitchen staff
• Serve meals daily while complying with all school food regulations
• Adhere to health department sanitation standards
• Operate POS system with accuracy and reconcile monies daily

Responsibilities

• Participate in training including PGI Classes
• Assist in the set up and cleanup of serving areas for timely service
• Assist in the preparation, service and sale of meals
• Independently follow menu and recipe instructions
