Job summary

UMOS is seeking a Food Service Assistant to help prepare nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch and snacks, following approved menus and USDA guidelines. You will assist with inventory, meal distribution, and basic kitchen duties, while maintaining accurate records and cleanliness.

The role requires 18+ years of age, a GED or high school diploma, and up to 3 months of food service experience. Flexibility in hours and reliable transportation are preferred, with background checks and trainings as

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• GED and/or high school diploma, preferred.
• Minimum of three months of food service experience preferred.
• Ability to work irregular and/or flexible hours.
• Have dependable transportation to and from work.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and snacks according to the approved menu.
• Assist in cleaning and sanitizing equipment and kitchen areas.
• Assist in implementing inventory and purchasing processes.
• Assist with portioning and serving meals to children per age group and USDA guidelines.
• Support parent/community activities with meal preparation.
