Job summary

New Albany-Plain Local Schools is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker for New Albany High School in New Albany, Ohio. The position is full-time with 7.5 hours per day and 187 days per year, starting at $18.55 per hour.

The role supports meal service and kitchen operations, requiring teamwork and reliable inventory handling. Responsibilities include assisting the cook, receiving and stocking supplies, maintaining freezer/cooler inventory, and using an electronic cash register.

Qualifications

• Must have work skills to include, but not limited to knowledge of cooking, organization, record keeping, decision-making and working with people.
• Assists the Cook in preparation of food.
• Responsible for receiving and putting away stock.
• Responsible for maintaining freezer and cooler inventory.
• Works with head cook, site supervisor & coordinator concerning inventory and supply orders.
• Technological proficiency to operate an electronic cash register as required.
• Have the ability to communicate effectively with students & staff.
• Must have the full support of the Coordinator of Food Services and Assistant Superintendent.

Responsibilities
