Job summary

NANA Management Services is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker for a K-12 school environment. You will perform cleaning, maintenance, food preparation, stocking, and serving duties across the kitchen, storeroom, dining, or serving areas.

Responsibilities include washing and cleaning, stocking supplies, assisting cooks, and supporting large cleaning projects. English fluency and a high school diploma are preferred, with driver’s license required for some positions.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• At least one year of work experience or vocational training related to cleaning, food prep, or general cleaning processes.
• Certain positions may require a valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Washes objects by hand or with cleaning equipment.
• Cleans dishes, utensils, pots, pans, etc., and stores them orderly.
• Maintains products at proper levels in prep, serving, or storage areas.
• Stocks storage areas with various products.
• Cleans, sweeps, wipes down dining, kitchen, or storage areas and equipment; maintains floors.
• Removes garbage and assists with setting up or breaking down tables and serving lines.
• Assists with periodically scheduled large cleaning projects.
• Assists cooks and coordinates activities with others.
• May occasionally prepare food or cook vegetables, entrees, coffee, sauces, meats, etc.
• Other duties pertinent to the department’s success may be assigned.
