Job summary

NANA Management Services is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to support a school kitchen. You will perform cleaning, food preparation, stocking, and serving duties across the kitchen, storeroom, and dining areas.

You must speak fluent English, have a high school diploma or GED, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and reliable, hands-on work in a busy school food service environment.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least one year of work experience or vocational training in cleaning, food prep, or related areas preferred.
• Certain positions may require a valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Washes objects by hand or with cleaning equipment.
• Cleans dishes, utensils, pots, pans, etc., and stores them in an organized manner.
• Maintains products at proper levels in preparation, serving, or storage areas including service machines.
• Stocks storage areas with various products.
• Cleans dining, kitchen, or storage areas and floors.
• Removes garbage from assigned areas and sets up or breaks down serving lines.
• Assists with large cleaning projects as scheduled.
• Assists cooks and coordinates activities with others.
• May occasionally prepare food or cook vegetables, entrees, coffee, sauces, meats, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.
